Recently, Professor John Edward Joshua Rasko, a world-renowned expert in gene and cell therapy and former President of the International Society for Cell & Gene Therapy (ISCGT), paid a visit to Lealing Biopharma Co.,Ltd. Profile of Professor Rasko：
Rasko is clinical haematologist, pathologist and molecular scientist. He is internationally recognised as a pioneer in the field of gene and stem cell therapy & regenerative medicine. From 1999 to 2024, Professor Rasko served as the Head of the Department of Cell and Molecular Therapy at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital and the Head of the Gene and Stem Cell Therapy Program at the University of Sydney. From 2018 to 2020, he served as President of the International Society for Cell and Gene Therapy and was Chair, 2008 to 2026, of the Australian Gene Technology Technical Advisory Committee. He currently serves on the WHO Nomenclature Committee. He has published over 290 academic papers in gene and stem cell therapy, experimental hematology, and molecular biology ( H- index 79 ). Rasko is a founding fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences, a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Technological Sciences and Engineering, and a popular biomedical science communicator. He has received numerous national and international awards for his outstanding achievements in medical research and has been awarded the Officer of the Order of Australia.
